Taking our own advice . . .

Alright, so it is about time that we are taking our own advice and making the time to be more Web 2.0. One thing you will found about us is that we believe in staying up on the latest trends within our industry. Now these trends aren’t always applicable to our environment at the time, but sooner or later our environment catches up. Recently Emily and myself attended a Web 2.0 conference in San Francisco.

First of all the Web 2.0 conference is a high tech conference based on the internet world. Standard companies like Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft and cutting edge companies like Dogster attend the conference and are speakers.

So, what did we learn? We learned the most cutting edge information on Content Strategies, Using Analytics (how people get to your site and what they do once they are there), Identify Users of Your Site, Accessibility for the Disabled, and of course using Social Media to increase your marketing efforts.

We learned so much that I am going to blog about these different topics in everyday terms that you can digest and see how they fit into your business.

Here’s a question to ponder for next time. What is Web 2.0?

Email Your Way to Success

With all the new social media out there is email still a good way to reach your audience?

Well, the time spent on emails is down according to a recent study while time spent on social media is up. But that doesn’t mean you should avoid an email campain.

Here are some reasons why you should consider an email campaign:

  1. Build Customer Loyalty
Offering specials to those that have purchased or have signed up for your newsletter.
  2. Go Green and Save Your Green This Holiday Season
Send your holiday greetings via an e-greeting. Not only is this good for the environment but there are no printing costs and no postage fees.
  3. Communicate More Often
Email marketing allows you to communicate information when you need to with no delays due to printing or mailing. Have a great new product, let them know today!
  4. Generate Revenue (Non-Profits & Organizations)
Sell banner ads in your newsletter to generate revenue to pay for the newsletter and generate additional income.

An internet marketing campaign that includes your website, social media, seo and eblasts is a sure way to cover your bases. Not sure where to start please give us a call 941-720-0374 or send an email to mlink@savvycatsdesign.com and we would be glad to point you in the right direction.
